Ironwood Sculpture The Ironwood Tree (Olneya tesota) is long-lived and is found in the Sonoran Desert of southwestern Arizona, southern California, and the northwestern part of Mexico. Ironwood is highly prized for its dense, hard properties. Artists can transform this hard wood into exquisite pieces. Dead Ironwood is becoming increasingly rare. The Ironwood used in our pieces is carefully selected and harvested. Please contact us to discuss a custom piece for your home or office. For more information on the Ironwood Tree, visit the Sonoran Desert Educational Center Web site.
